Spatial–temporal differentiation and driving factors of water resources green efficiency in the Huaihe River Basin

Abstract Considering the regional economic and social characteristics high-quality development goals, this paper improves calculation method of green efficiency water resources adopts SBM-DEA model to calculate in 35 cities four provinces Huaihe River Basin. The results show that (1) Basin decreased first then increased from 2011 2020. (2) In terms spatial distribution, provincial-level divisions high low are Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu, Anhui. elliptical area keeps expanding, value radiates outward along ‘Yangzhou–Zhengzhou’. (3) At level total-factor productivity decomposition, TC (technological change) has a more noticeable impact on factors than EC (efficiency change). scale technology changes mainly come improvement MATC (magnitude technical (4) Industrial output positive driving effect resources. Government participation, resource endowment, growth rate reflect China's current incongruity between improvement.
